Nothing would be stressful for myself about deciding and taking a complaint to the FOS. Just trying to help a person whose peace of mind was affected when being told they were not affected by the recent IT embarrassment at Lloyds.
I am of the view that they could re-establish their peace of mind quite quickly by switching, with a financial gain, to a bank which doesn't pose the same issues to them as Lloyds does, and I stand to my previous comments on this matter. Other people might be of the view that prolonging the peace of mind issues, without a guarantee that these would be settled by the FOS, are a better approach to dealing with the matter. Obviously only the person affected can decide what is best for them.

Yesterday I had a random £25 credited to my account. the reference and payee details were just a load of numbers so not clear where it was from. I wasn't expecting anything so I was wondering if it might be some sort of discretionary payment following this incident as I did make a complaint.
I tried Lloyds online chat but it's just been referred to the complaints department who don't work at weekends. Anyone else received anything?

It sounds about right for a LBG compensation. The complaint reference number is usually included, which might have two letters (e.g. "NC") before it, and I think there is a payment number which starts "RP". If the reference/description starts with "030" then the source of the money was a Lloyds account.

Yes, The Payee details start with NC and Payment number starts with RC and ref starts 03. Thanks that confirms it then.

I had a similar thing. They previously paid something, but I didn't think it was that much. Had it on my to do list to contact them, then I randomly got another £25 in the past few days. Maybe they are standardising outcomes

I have confirmed with Lloyds it is a discretionary payment in relation to that incident. Apparently I will get a follow up letter explaining. That may take a while knowing how RM are performing these days - but that's another matter
