Help? ISA transfer out from UBL UK

Hi. I'm asking here as I can't find this info anywhere else and UBL take 3 business days to reply to my question.

I have a ISA with UBL on fixed rate until 7th April.

I'm completing the form with another provider to transfer my UBL ISA to them after 7th April.
I need to complete the sort code and account number of the UBL ISA, but I'm not sure what to use. The account number box will only accept a maximum of 11 digits.

I can see a sort code and 8 digit account number of a UBL funding account, used to add the money to put into the ISA. Currently the funding account is empty.
I can see the same sort code for the ISA account, and account number which is 13 digits in the format of ****-******-***

Where can I find what account number to use on my transfer form please?
Thank you

I've not held a UBL ISA myself but, when transferring a cash ISA from a provider who doesn't use the standard account format of 8 digits, you would usually put it in the 'roll number/reference number' box on the transfer form instead. Have a look on their site for any relevant FAQs or help.

Don't UBL fixed ISAs automatically transfer into a further fix with them by default if they don't receive maturity instructions ? If that's the case, then you'll need to get this sorted quickly (bearing in mind the long Easter weekend may affect timings).

Hopefully it's an online transfer form you're filling in - if it's a paper form that needs posting to the new provider, then I would have thought the chances of UBL receiving your instructions in time to act on them will be slim to none, with the current state of the postal service.

Thank you. UBL have already been notified it'll be transferred out. Their website says if the amount if carried forward into a new fixed rate, they will cancel that and still deal with the transfer.

I can't find any info on the UBL site or FAQs to help.

I got through to someone and got the answer. I thought I'd share it here in case it helps anyone else.
You ignore the first 4 digits, and the third digit from the end. So where _ means ignore:
    _ _ _ _ - ****** - _ **
that should be 8 digits long.

…and they don't think to mention this blindingly obvious system for identifying their ISAs anywhere on their site?

Surprised you don't have to turn round 3 times and spit too.

I remember when transferring out of UBL a few years ago they 'took advantage' of the maximum 15 days in which they are obliged to transfer funds to new provider without paying any extra interest. Hope yours goes through quicker.

The ceding provider doesn't have 15 days to play with as such, but just five - that timescale is for the entire process and is broken down as (from the perspective of the ceding provider):

The 15 days are broken down as:

The new ISA manager has 5 business days to forward the instruction to you.

You have 5 business days to send the funds and information to be provided to the new ISA manager.

The new ISA manager has 3 business days to apply the funds to the new ISA.

The other 2 days are to allow for time taken for first class post between you and the new manager.

    https://www.gov.uk/guidance/transfer-an-isa-if-youre-an-isa-manager#cash-isa-transfers

Non-prescriptive industry guidance is that the receiving ISA manager should apply interest backdated to the date the funds left the ceding provider, i.e. date of cheque or electronic transfer.

What an absolute joke.i have two ISA’s with them but they have the same number so I guess I enter the ISR number in roll number/reference field.

did you get the sort code? I googled and got 60-93-68 but have no idea if correct. Might need to call.
