If you want to park some of your cash to reduce the tax paid on interest, you could consider premium bonds. But the return is unpredictable - albeit tax free.

Never appealed to me premium.bonds but I get the tax break.
So I only recently opened a nationwide cash isa with 20k.
Either leave it there as emergency fund and on Monday open a new s and s isa with say fidelity.
Or open a s and s isa now and transfer so i can end up with two s and s isas ?

Why do you need two S&S Isas? You could transfer your Nationwide Isa to the Fidelity S&S Isa and also deposit £20k in the Fidelity S&S Isa in the 26/27 tax year.

thats what i mean two isa's totalling 40k
both s and s rather than any cash

Why two? You can have just one S&S Isa with £40k+ in it.

oh i didnt realise that x so if i open one next tax year with fidelity i can deposit 20k in there and also move my nationwide one in there too?

Yes, transferring an existing ISA is different to adding new money.
