It may be an extreme example but a landlord still has the right to decide who they let their property to. And if they prefer to let it out to somebody who says they dont have or intend to have pets over somebody who has a beautiful ginger !!!!! then thats their business.
Anyway, I think the op was actually wanting help with relocating so I apologise for going off topic in the first instance and maybe we can get it back on track now.
I was on track!!!!...it was you you decided to divert the post into "lets judge the cat owner"!!! now dogs..that's a whole new thread!!!!!0 -
to whom it may concern,
Perhaps you would be gracious enough to cease posting irrelevant issues on the thread that I started?
Whilst I appreciate peoples input to varying degrees, I cannot see what use the issue of pets has for me
Please feel free to start a thread about this topic if you are in need of venting your emotions
Regards

A lot of landlords (and/or their mortgage companies) will forbid:
Pets
Children (makes repossessing a little more difficult for mortgage company sometimes)
Redecorating kiddies rooms if they allow kiddies
Running a business from the address
Inspections / nosiness
and insist on:
max contract 12 months
2 months notice
All of which maybe relevent to you and stable family home...
All of which maybe issues0
