How long does it take to get a refund?
I used my Visa card to buy some goods from Asda on Saturday afternoon, 3:05pm total £75.
I returned one item as it was priced wrong on the shelf. Returned £11 at 3:10pm.
I have both receipts for the purchase and return.
Both receipts say "payment approved", "Refund approved".
On the same credit card number.
Only the original £75 was showing yesterday and today too.
How long should it take to show on my online Halifax account?
If it does not arrive who do I need to contact?
The Asda store is 30 miles away, a 51 minute drive.

Credit Visa Debit Visa?
I bought an item on Saturday, returned it later that day as it was faulty. Was told the refund to my Debit Visa would take about three working days. Money was back in my account before I left the shop.

Couple of days.
Credit systems update overnight, refund does not require authorisation by the CC, so may hit overnight or overnight tomorrow.

Your debit shows when the money is requested to be removed from your account, not only when the merchant actually receives the funds which is normally a working day or two later. With a refund the tables are reversed so they will see the money has gone instantly but you only can see the funds as received when they are cleared funds in your account which again is typically 1-2 working days after the transaction but can be a little longer.

Thank-you for the replies and information.
It was a Visa credit card.
The refund is showing up now.

Interestingly, I received a refund onto my Barclaycard a couple of weeks ago, and was surprised to see it appear immediately as a pending transaction in the Barclaycard app, just like a purchase would. I hope this marks the beginning of a new trend.
