Identity fraud seen on Credit report
I found a hard credit check on my credit report and have had a Notice of Correction issued, changed passwords and reported in on the Police Action Fraud website. Also registered with the Cifas website. Is there anything else I should do? By the way I wasn't given a crime number when I reported it to the Police on-line. Thanks

Action Fraud (or what they are called now) do not give CRN.
Be aware any change you make will take longer while the banks look into it.
Life in the slow lane0 -
On 4 December 2025 City of London Police launched “Report Fraud”, a new service that replaced Action Fraud.
Action Fraud was a pretty misleading name for this service as it did not take any action against cyber crime or fraud as the name appeared to imply, it simply recorded instances of them.
To receive a Crime Reference Number you would need to report the story separately to the police. By reporting it to Report Fraud they will simply log the fact that it happened. No CRN will be issued and no follow up action or investigation will be undertaken.
Hope that’s a help.
