Planet Ice refund refusal
Hi there, I'd appreciate some help with a problem I now have. I booked a 3 day skate camp with Planet Ice in Gosport, and due to unfortunate personal circumstances my daughter won't be able to attend. I requested a refund and cancellation almost 20 days before the date it was due to start, and had repeated emails saying it had 'been passed to a general manager for a refund' but nothing happened. I've now tried contacting them through social media to be told they have a no-refund policy. The thing is, at no point while I was booking did it say that, and I can't find any reference to it on their website. I don't want to let this go as it's the best part of £60 and it just seems downright out of order.
Thanks for any thoughts!

There does appear to be a no refund policy applicable to the Gosport location. Did you book transferable tickets? Could your daughter attend on different dates?

No unfortunately not.

Thank you. It seems a bit underhanded that it's buried in here - refund policy might have been a more likely place that people would look.

Can you offer it to someone else on FB for £30?

Not really. People choose not to read what they’re entering into.

If it was called 'refund policy' I would have read it. As it's called 'admissions policy' I assumed it was stuff like don't turn up drunk and expect admission etc, which didn't apply to my 13 year old daughter.

Regardless, you didn't actually read anything that specifically stated it WAS refundable, so should not have assumed it was. The default position for tickets is they are not refundable unless it says otherwise.
[I do agree lengthy T&Cs can be difficult to read in full but that's not the issue here].

but your assumption was wrong.
