Britannia Parking PCN
I parked overnight in "Car Park 11" at Basildon railway station and used the "PayByPhone" app to pay for 24 hours parking.
I've now received a PCN from britannia parking.
I was mystified initially but, on checking the app I realised I've got one digit wrong in the car registration, so I paid for the correct time but the reg was wrong.
Should I appeal to britannia on that basis?

You can do, as a minor keying error, but study the keying error section in the joint Code of Practice first
You should also check the NTK PCN letter for compliance with Pofa2012, or not

@double_dutchy just appeal and quote the minor keying errors clause from the Joint Code. Britannia have to cancel it.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

OK, thanks
I found a link to the Joint Code of practice on another thread but the link didn't work, do you have a working link?

I'm sure you know what the keying error clause says but I'm quoting it below:
I note that it mentions supplying the vehicle registration at "an on-site machine, by telephone or online"
…..but mine was within the PayByPhone app which is none of those (unless "online" also includes apps)?
Thanks
6.3. Keying errors Where the terms and conditions require the driver to supply their vehicle registration mark at an on-site machine, by telephone or online, the parking operator must have and follow a documented policy and procedure to avoid issuing or enforcing a parking charge in respect of accidental keying errors. This should include the adoption of technologies that reduce keying errors. NOTE 1:
Some common keying errors can be accommodated within the registrationsystem, for example confusing the letter “o” with the numeric symbol “0”; More informationis found in Annex F.
