Hi
I am wanting to sort out my debt problem but I have a terrible credit rating. I have just read about ringing credit card companies up to ask if they can lower the interest but that hasn't worked. At the moment I'm paying 36.26&% on Capital One and 24.9% on Barclaycard which are incredibly high but neither of them would reduce the interest rate. Is there anything else I can do? The balance on them are only(!) £600 and £400 but I also have an HSBC managed loan which is £2017 and a graduate overdraft of another £2000.
Is there anything else I can do? I won't qualify for a council tax change as my building is only new and I've looked at all the other tips on the site. It seems like I'm stuck in this debt rut that I have been for years and can't work out how to get out of it. It seems all I'm paying on my credit card each month is the interest and if I could just get a balance transfer to a lower interest rate card it would help but because of mistakes in the past I can't.
