Samsung tablet for running Netflix?
Doesn't have to be new. I've had decent experiences buying from Music Magpie before with phones, although I've always chosen the 'pristine' condition, never anything less.
Ok so I've never really been interested in tablets before so I actually know nothing at all about them really. Which model ranks where in the hierarchy of things.
I use Zwift & lately I've taken to watching Netflix while doing so.
It was a bit poor on my phone due to the size of the screen. This weekend I tried my wifes iPad which was much better, though I had to use her earbuds & not mine.
My phone is Samsung, my earbuds are Samsung & so I'd be looking at a Samsung tablet of some description so that the buds are compatible with it.
I don't want to be paying over the odds for something that's just overkill for what I need. Likewise I don't want to swipe & wait 5 mins for the page to be swiped, taking 30mins for the app to open up & have the shows buffering like mad because the tablet is so underpowered kind of thing.
I've absolutely no idea whatsoever what model I should be looking at or how much I need to pay to achieve what I want which is why I'm asking for your guidance on it.
And again, it doesn't have to be the latest models that are available on the Samsung website. It could be a used older model on MM - though I would want the physical condition of the tablet to be decent. I don't want to be buying one that a kid has thrown around their bedroom.

If you have access to a TV, you could by a cable to run from your phone to a TV, That's what I do when on holiday.

So how big is your wife's iPad and do you want your tablet to be similar or larger/smaller?
Some idea of your budget would be useful too.

A USB-C to HDMI cable? Yes that'll work but only if your phone supports DisplayPort Alt Mode which is often missing from mid-range and budget phones and most Google Pixels.
Check the official spec for your phone or there are apps that claim to check for you if you want to try it.
Mirroring/casting to a TV might also be an option.
But if OP had access to a TV would they need a new tablet?

I would have thought the buds would be bluetooth, so would work on any device. Not just be tied to Samsung or Apple. Once they are paired 🤷♀️

As you have a Samsung mobi, I'd go for a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 which will have support for some years yet and is fast enough to not feel frustrating. I have an S9 after finding the Tab A9+ just a little sluggish. Having two Samsung devices means they integrate well, i.e. you can link them and handle SMS messages from the tablet.

I do have a TV but that's what Zwift is running on.
As said in the OP, I don't know what I need to spend to achieve what I want. No good me saying I have a £100 budget if I need to spend £105.
Im not sure which ipad she has. One with a home button I know that much. Not a mini, not an air or pro.
Haven't tried it tbh as I just thought Apple would lock in their hardware & make everything Appley.
Thanks. I'll take a look to see what they're going at.

Oh and while I've mentioned it in other threads, I never put it here.

I've got an S9 FE, solid bit of kit. What I use when travelling for downloaded tv/films. Near enough 2/3rds price of the S9.

S9 FE is an LCD screen, S9 is OLED so optimal for movies

Yes, USB-C to HDMI is what I use. I have a Galaxy S21 Ultra.
