The official government announcement mentions "an average of £150 off the costs of energy bills" rather than a guaranteed flat p/kWh reduction for every consumer, as the final unit rates depend on the supplier and region.

The official guidance for suppliers that @superkoopauk referred to above begs to differ. With a few complex provisos, it quite clearly gives the "guaranteed flat p/kWh reduction": 2.45 + 0.89 p for electricity and 0.31 p for gas. The reductions don't vary with supplier and region, even though the rates they apply to usually do so.

I received my email today. I've calculated that I should save £103. I only have 7 months to run on my contract, so calculating for 7 months, it would be £60. However, as we are going into warmer weather, I'll be using less than my average usage, so the actual saving will be less than that.

The difference from the current rates to the new rates on my email are 3.024p for electricity and 0.179p for gas.

Are those exclusive of VAT? If I were you, I'd be asking the supplier why the difference isn't what the guidance says, if it's a common-or-garden fixed tariff.

They are inclusive of VAT. This in on an Outfox Fix'd Dual Oct25 12M v2.0 tariff.
