1960s garage roof
I've noticed for the first time that the underside (inside of garage) has what looks like papery cement peeling off in a number of areas. These multiple areas are around 4cm by 0.5cm.
It's a timber garage with corrugated sheets for the roof.
I had the house (John Lawrence semi) roof tested a few years back and came back negative. Getting the garage tested also.
But wondering, while waiting on the test, if the garage roof could be anything other than asbestos.

You have to suspect it is made from asbestos cement. If it is intact it is not really a problem, but the fact that it is peeling off is a bit of a worry.
If the test comes back positive, you would be better off replacing it.

If it's a grey colour there is a good chance it's asbestos.
A photo would help.

When I send the test kit off, will sending those peeling bits off be enough or do I need to break the 'cement' bit under the 'papery cement' off too?

Yep. That looks like the asbestos sheeting I had on my shed last Century.
