Morning all from wet and miserable Mehefinland.
My darling horses decided to play silly beggars yesterday at coming in time and would not oblige. As I was on a tight time schedule ( going to meet a new laydee) I had no option but to leave them out in the field - it was warm and sunny, so no real problem. They knew they were in disgrace when I got back later though, quite funny seeing their reaction - sheepish sort of fits it.🤣
I don't think I will have the same problem today as its blowing a half gale and raining( horizontally!!). I did consider putting Showman's rug back on and then though blow it - so he's out naked. No doubt he will come in plastered in wed mud when the time arrives.
A pretty sleepless night means I'm a bit death warmed up this morning. A snoozette may be required later.
Not much else happening so I'll just say hugs and spoons as always.

Morning all
Feels brighter today and the wind has eased a bit too.
Our broadband went down yesterday so rang them and got a nice chap who talked me through what to do and he came to the conclusion that our S*y box needed replacing. When I went up to bed to watch tv last night I couldn't connect the box up there so no tv! As he said 3-4 working days before the new one was to be delivered I was a bit put out. While out shopping I got a text saying the new box was being delivered late this morning so that cheered me up. I've just got to dismantle the old one for them to take away now!
Apart from that nothing else going on today.
I'll also give you a wave Ruby as you pass by, enjoy your weekend
Have a good day all x

Morning all, thanks @Gers. Enjoy a welcome break @RedRuby1231 and happy birthday wishes to Mr Coxy.
It's a grey and drizzly start here but should become drier by lunchtime, supposedly slightly milder too with a gentle breeze. The evenings are still chilly though - I knew I shouldn't have put the sofa throws away just yet! 🙄 At least the daylight hours are lengthening and that will be even more noticeable after the clocks move forward this weekend. I'm normally quite a heavy sleeper but was rudely woken at around 3.30 am when a small picture fell on the laminate floor in the hallway; it was hanging by one of those Command sticky hooks that had obviously failed but I have some spares so will fix that later.
It's Friday admin day and, now I have all the figures, I can see much juggling of the annual budget looming, not that there's a lot of wriggle room to be had! 🤔 The only other must-do task is to give the kitchen worktops a good scrub and wipe down the outside of the appliances that live on them. Easy tea tonight of fish, croquettes, peas & sweetcorn.
Things are looking up for DS with three interviews lined up for next week. Fingers crossed. I did a short survey the other week and have received a £5 shopping voucher by way of thanks. If I can find a good price on a joint of meat for Easter I might put it towards that.
@Gers - I had one of those wooden pencil cases too although not personalised. My first name is apparently an anglicised version of a Gaelic name and rarely gets spelled correctly even though it's not that unusual.
@Chrisca - Have fun with the new Sky box when it arrives.
Commiserations to all those who are having their travel plans disrupted or - worse still - cancelled altogether.
Have a good day, take care. Hugs if needed and waves to our MIA. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.7 -
Hi everyone,
Have a lovely break Ruby, I'm with you on the cooking while I'm away.
Happy birthday to your DHCoxy.
Gers, I'll keep my fingers crossed for your relatives. TA, I feel your relief, Steve's niece was supposed to be going on a college trip to Bali and that has been cancelled as they were changing at Doha.
Mehefin, what a lovely gesture.
I've been MIA the last couple of weeks. We had friends visiting, then Laura and Esther came and then we had Nate yesterday so I've been kept hopping, today is the first day I've had to myself. Steve has gone over to continue the stable renovation with Chris, hopefully they're on the last leg. I went out for coffee this morning with friends and I'll do some housework soon (maybe).
Have a good day.
