Your help requested: DDs for a Current Account switch
Hi, folks! Recently set up three new DDs on a Chase current account I recently opened (not one of my main accounts). I plan to switch that over to a Club Lloyds account, in order to receive the £200 bonus. That deal expires on 30 Apr, or maybe before.
Can anyone confirm for me, must all three of the DDs have executed at least once, in order for Lloyds to consider them as valid for the switch? They all have different payment dates. Their status on my Chase app is currently "Pending".
Cheers - P

I can't answer your question but there is already a thread on a Lloyds switch. If it is the same switch offer as the one you are enquiring about, then you can either read the thread or ask on that thread:

In previous switch offers, Lloyds had their own definition of an active direct debit as:
"An active direct debit is one that has been paid to the originator in the last 13 months. This can be any frequency of payment: weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual. If the direct debit has been recently set up and the first payment has not been taken this is not an active direct debit."
For this switch offer they haven't provided any definition of what an active direct debit is, but to be on the safe side I would wait until a payment has come out of each direct debit on the old account before starting your switch. You have until 30th April to start the switch.

Be careful doing this. Chase are now cracking down on people creating accounts and then switching them.

Also, you should consider opening a second Chase account before initiating the switch. If you only have a single account, when it closes during the switch Chase will not allow you to open another, so it's worth ensuring you already have a second one for any future use.

Also worth reading this thread about Chase's recent change of tack on using then as dummy accounts for switching.

Thanks, folks. These responses are very helpful.
The account I'm switching is not my main Chase account. I have one other current account with them, and a savings account.
I'll make sure that all three DDs have paid out at least once, before I use the switch service.
