You could try an email for wasted costs if they discontinue late. Nothing to lose but has to be written properly based on 'unreasonable conduct'.

Two examples are linked in post 2 of the NEWBIES thread.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As expected, I recieved the letter of discontinuance from BW Legal.

The general form of judgement or order said

"Claimant sends amended statement by 5th May ... Defendant responds by 19th May ... hearing adjourned until 16th June .... The Defendant shall pay the claimants wasted costs of today being [opposing legal fee] of £150 inclusive of VAT by 5th May"

I sent the £150 postal order, do I need to tell the court that I paid it, do I send the receipt for the postal order? If I don't send the proof, do I get a CCJ??

Why aren't you doing what I suggested?

The question wasn't asking about getting the costs back, but do I have to tell the court I have satisfied the order of paying that £150 in the first place?

How do I go about not getting a CCJ is the question.
