Octopus IOF new rates April
I got this through now Eastern
SC up and difference between peak and normal is smaller , c 1p / kWh.
Greg says 50p/month on SC errm 3.802 / day does NOT equal 50p / month, back to school Greg.

Who is Greg?
If I was to guess I'd suggest Greg Jackson, founder and CEO of Octopus.

What about the export? is it still the same as the import price? or have they just reduced the import price.
If the export and import have both gone down then surely we don't actually save anything at all.

Both rates are the same , export / import , just trying to save space.

It is a symmetrical tariff, so the reduction in import is reflected in export, that would be expected.

Errr nope I think you are confused this is for 23 days
you can see I get less income on new rates + 23 days at 3.8p/day

So instead of the £150 reduction promised by the government, I'll actually be paying at least £12 a year more than I do now. I've been completely scammed.
Greg can't even count, he tells me the standing charge is going up 50p a month and yet it is actually a 3.896p a day rise which is well over £1 a month. I'd rather it stayed as it was instead of them !!!!!! on me and telling me it's raining.

The so called '£150 reduction' relates to a typical customer on the capped standard variable tariff, if you are on IOF you are about as far away from the SVT as you could get so you should never expect to see the same results as a 'typical customer' …
… but as a net exporter you get to receive a huge amount more than anyone else for your solar export…
If you are not a net exporter then you are on the wrong tariff.

Yes, I know what they actually meant about the £150 reduction - however, my own Labour MP specifically said that EVERYONE's bills would be reduced when in fact mine haven't. I said she was wrong but was just told to wait and see. Thanks for that.
And yes, I am a net exporter which means I lose out twice (SC and rates). The difference between the peak and off-peak was 7.519p but now the difference is 6.727p.
Still one of the best tariffs around, but I will start selling my exports on the open market instead when my battery is supported. There is a company paying £1 a kWh exported between 4pm and 7pm quite often.

Sadly just like outgoing Octopus they are short changing exporters. I am still "happy" but my ROI is not.
Of course the government are being absolutely misled by Millibrain and stuffing the nation by stopping North Sea and its workers , and Ms Reeves surely will have said we can't afford allthe imports.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex .
