IHT 400 Calculations form
Hello,
Can someone please explain to me why Box 41 on the IHT400 "Calculations" form says Box 40 divided by 6 and not Box 40 x 40%?
I spotted a typo on the main IHT400 form which HMRC have confirmed and so I am wondering whether this is also incorrect.
Many thanks

I am looking at the Feb 2023 version where Box 41 = Box 40 ÷ Box 6 (total chargeable estate). Is there a later version?

No. my version says the same thing but NON PROPERTY estate to pay IHT on is £6214 and 6214 x 40% is the IHT to pay. I make this £2485.60 but if I do 6214 divided by 6 its £1035.

I think you need to be dividing by Box 6 as probate_slave said. Don't divide by six, that makes no sense !🤗
