    Another quote:

'As the property is leasehold, we will need to obtain official copies of the freehold and leasehold title registers and title plans, as well as a copy of the lease itself. These are likely to be in the region of £75.00 to £100.00, although HM Land Registry usually charge £7.00 per page for the lease and it is therefore difficult to confirm the exact cost at this stage. There may also be a higher charge if the lease has to be supplied by post;'

£7.00 per page? I have checked and it is 'Online/Digital Copy: £7 per document (Form OC2).'

The solicitors I had used 8 months is over capacity and the quotes I am getting now is at least doubled that.

Yes, the management pack seems missing, but as you (or your solicitor on your behalf) pay the managing agent for that I would not expect it to be included in the solicitors quote.

Anything leasehold is usually more expensive. Other things to think about will be if there are any 'complex' issues that come up relating to the lease and whether covered or how much extra they might charge e.g. licence to assign, deed of covenant, etc.

Our local solicitor is very transparent about likely costs on the pricing page of their website (bear in mind it's London and a 'proper' solicitor so on the pricey side) - might be useful to cross check against that

That is useful to know. I am not able to access the link - as it gives an error. I have asked for quotes and have been provided with estimates which include the followings headings (thanks for the information)

If you want to see the link just search sutton mattocks solicitors and then from the menu on their website click on pricing and transparency
