So I have two pairs of Apple AirPods I am trying to sell. I have listed them on Ebay but am really struggling to sell them at a really reasonable price.

It seems that the only people interested in them are those with absolutely no feedback and they all ask the same questions are they genuine do you have a receipt etc and they also offer way less than I am asking.

Where would you say is the best place to sell these, even selling them to music magpie the buyback amount is stupid for brand-new sealed items.

Ive also tried FB marketplace and Im getting the same sort of responses.

How much are you hoping to get? Looking at past listings, Air pods sell for £40-90 on ebay if theyre used. CEX appear to offer similar valuations.

Have you tried your local CEX or other tech buyer store? You may not get as much as you want on ebay, but it removes all the hassle and potential for comebacks.

They are brand new never been used AirPods 4 with ANC which retail at Apple for £169 Im asking for £100.

I think I may go to CEX to save the hassle.

I hear many stories of people buying them and then switching them and saying they are fake on Ebay and that way they keep the original and you end up with fakes returned.

You might actually been trying to sell them too cheaply. I looked at buying some AirPods on eBay but there were so many obvious scammers there and one of the signs was a price that was too low.
In the end, I went elsewhere rather than buy fakes.

They're currently £135 on Amazon brand new, I dont think £100 for a second hand but unused is anywhere close to being too low. Looking at sold lots, most recently "new" ones from private sellers have been maxed out at £90 and some as low as £50, its business sellers that are achieving about £100

You should get £75-90 cash in cex, and can sometimes negotiate them up a bit too. As you say, lots of potentisl risks and hassle with ebay so I'd be tempted...

I was going to suggest to try selling them on Amazon but it doesn't look like that would be possible to a new seller. Having had a quick look around CEX seem about the best bet. If you could sell them on Amazon there are still potential pitfalls.

OP you have some good advice here. Yes you will get low-balling pillocks, even more so with any kind of electrical item it seems, but this is what ebay's blocked buyer list is for. There is a reason why ebay let you block 5,000 people, one thing they did get absolutely right.

Personally I would absolutely go with increase the price here. Someone told me this 30 years ago and it very rarely fails. Just did it the other day with something that hadn't sold in a while, and had very little interest at the lower price. So whacked the price up a bit and got 2 bids within hours of relisting.

I did eventually sell them on Facebook Market place for £100. I wasn't trying to make a huge profit, just wanted to move them on before technology takes over.

I blocked quite a few people and got some ridiculous offers. I did though as advised upped the price and people then offered me what I originally wanted, but I had some people offering me £25 upwards so they were blocked.
