Have a Nice Carpark...

Parked up in an area I didn't know was controlled by Have a Nice Carpark in December it was at 8:15pm to collect a take away (must have been parked 5-15 mins) didn't receive anything thru the post until a letter from TNC. I've received 2 in the last month. I've also been back to check the signage and it says enter your reg in the premesis for parking authorization. The business was closed so the instructions were impossible to comply with. (I get they just stop chasing after a while) But I've had an escalation...I'm now receiving texts from TNC so they have acquired my number. They are blocked now.

Just asking has anyone else had this with TNC and HANCP?

Thanks,

TopChief

It is worrying that the first communication is from TNC. If you did not receive a PCN are you sure that your V5C is up-to-date with the correct current address?

Yep you can ignore TNC completely but your logbook address is out of date, we think?

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've checked my log book and it's all correct, I do have an issue with my mail going to another property (very similar address) as we get theirs as well. So potentially it was mailed back on return to sender.

The worrying thing was that they got my personal mobile number from somewhere...

I've looked into TNC, they just use threatening language to try and panic you into paying.

    No that's normal.

They got that from a 'soft trace', which is allowed and probably included a note about your mobile phone contract.

The worrying thing is some idiot is (you say) returning letters 'return to sender'. Completely unsafe when you might in the end get a Claim Form.

Have a conversation with the people at that other address and agree between you not to return letters to sender and maybe WhatsApp each other when mail comes.
