Reclaim underpaid state Pension

Recently on Facebook I responded to an article which claimed that women who claimed Children's Allowance might be due up to £8,000 from underpaid pension. When I entered our children's dates of birth I was asked to give the company authority to correspond with HMRC in regard to this matter. I hesitated and read the small print and found that it was a no win no fee type thing. If they won they would get about a third of the claim. The company is called 'Ask Rose'. Has anyone heard of them and was anyone successful in reclaiming anything yet? If they can do it why can an ordinary person not do it? I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone ahead with this claim.

You can easily do it yourself, details are here

Although note that I understand there is a long delay in processing claims because of the amount of people applying, many of whom have actually had the correct money all along…..

I think you have answered your own question.

Ask Rose is a legitimate HMRC agent, they assist in making the application for possible missing HRP credits easier.

    They also say

Please note that you can make this claim directly with HMRC yourself for free. Our team is on hand to help process your claim for you.

The fee for this assistance is 34.8% of any successful claim amount.

I've not heard of them but there are a number of companies of this type who undertake the "no win no fee" work as it's very lucrative for them.

You don't need to go through a third party to query whether you are being underpaid state pension. See moneysavingexpert's own guidance https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/married-women-missing-state-pension-boost/
