Looks to be a nice day here although it’s a bit chilly, yesterday got really cold in the afternoon it was like winter had returned.
I am off to see O today we will probably go out somewhere this afternoon for a while maybe a walk along the prom and get his some fish and chips, he will want an ice cream too as he has a very sweet tooth.
Dinner tonight is chicken casserole I usually put it in the sc but dont want it to get in the way of the decorator so I will put it in the oven when I get back. He said he will be finished today so we can at least get the big things back in place. I have a wash on the go and that can be hung out later.
I got a puncture on my car yesterday so went and got that fixed, not too bad it was £20 and took 10 minutes so very quick service.
Camelot I hope your new boiler is in and working xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning All
Thanks for the start Ruby, enjoy your walk along the prom for fish and chips, one of my favourite things to do!
The boiler is in, very good service, the chap worked like a trojan and even messaged me to ask if I had a mop as he was going to wash the floor where he had made a mess! It was lovely to put the shower on and not wonder if I was going to get any hot water. All paid for so will have to save my pennies for the next big disaster! I had a hive put in too so can put the heating on before I leave work if I need to.
I am meant to be meeting friends for an early dinner later but am choked with a cold so it may not happen, we'll see.
Hope you're all doing well and have a happy Wednesday. Take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks RUBY. Enjoy your day out with O. It's fine, dry and with blue sky here - for now! But it feels much chillier and the forecast is for high wind and rain. It seems winter is back again!
No fixed plans for today but I want to carry on with half finished jobs. I am making good inroads into the wardrobes, bit by bit, so I'm aiming to finish today. There is still stuff I am dithering about, will I or won't I wear again! I am also wading through old admin stuff and if I finish that job today then there will be mucho shredding to do! I have been browsing the Clarks Outlet for new trainers so need to decide whether to order some before they sell out.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need/want of them. YL I hope your DS is soon successful in his job hunt, it gets disheartening after a while. Take care all, be safe x

Good morning, thanks for starting Ruby, hope your day goes well.
Glad you've got your new boiler in Camelot, hope your cold doesn't get any worse and you are able to meet up with friends.
It's a nice morning here, chilly of course but it might warm up. Yesterday the rain arrived at lunchtime, it was quite heavy.
Not much going on here, I thought I might put some cyclamen in the garden. At the moment they're in a pot in the back yard but the garden will suit them better as it's cool and damp. I thought I might scrub the garden path, it's a bit muddy looking and mossy here and there. We've got a good new broom, the old one finally fell apart, and we all know what the new broom does!I
So that's what's planned. Hope everyone else's day goes well, thoughts to the sad and poorly. Take care folks.

Cold and bright here and wet as it rained overnight. Still windy too. According to the weather on my phone it's going to feel like -2. So much for the spring like weather of last week!
Glad you got your boiler up and running Camelot.
Nothing planned today apart from some housework.
Have a good day all.

Morning all and thanks for the start @RedRuby1231 have a lovely day out with O x
I am WFH today which suits me. Not sure if it’ll be all day or a lunchtime finish. We will see. I have had an EBay and a Vinted sale so will walk down to the PO after work and get some steps in. There’s also a wash to put on and some dry laundry to put away. I’m competing with @IzzyBee for excitement today 😊
Dinner is sausages and mash. Nice and quick as DH is out with friends later in our old town.
Good that the new boiler is in @camelot1001 get well soon x
Have a good day everyone

Morning all - what an horrendous night we had here. The noise of sharp rain (hail, ice) battering the windows woke me up and then the howling wind added to it. Now the sky clears of cloud and then it rolls in and down again and more torrential rain hits. There's patches of white in the garden where the hail seems to have been blown into edges. It's only 4c here with a forecasted high of 7c - 😕
Yesterday had me doing more financial faffing around. The ISA I was moving to Virgin eventually appeared and seemed short. Phoning the first provider I found that the projected amount had been until the end of March so some was not added. Fair enough, just wished I'd been told in one of the umpteen emails they sent to me, it would have saved me two long holds on the telephone.
I went out to hand over the order return, when I passed the local fuel station petrol was £159.99 😮then I bought a Radio Times (for the last time) and it was £5.50. Madness. Once home I paid my council tax, I like to pay in full - another madness I know - I feel better when I know that it's done.
No plans for today - there's liver defrosting so I'll have it with caramelised onions and mash.
Great news about your boiler @camelot1001. Have a great walk with O @RedRuby1231, fish and chips sounds perfect.
Hugs to all.xx

Morning everyone
We've taken a small step forward, mam's social worker rang yesterday morning to say she'd finished her paperwork and it was now with her manager for funding approval. She asked me to ring the care home and check they still had the room, which they have, so hopefully she'll be there by the end of the week.
For today, still dad in the morning, home for lunch and mam in the afternoon. First I'm going to our mobility shop to order him a new reclining chair - mam cut the fire safety labels off the one he has at home, so it can't go to the care home, he's had it for about 20 years anyways. The one he's using is plastic and he's not comfortable on it.
Better get sorted, hope everyone has a good day x

Took your advice Izzie and the white trainers have been ordered. At 60% off in the sale that's a bargain. The current white trainers I have were also half price from the Clarks Outlet and I have been flogging them to death for at least 5 years so I really was due a new pair!
The sun is still shining here but the wind has ramped up a notch and they say rain is imminent. I'm glad I am housebound for the day! Just the general waste wheelie to put out but I'm frightened it might take off!
Cross posting with you Dp1, hopefully that's finally good news and the funding gets approved. x
