Home insurance: Best way to get discount with Directline
hiya,
I already have landlord insurance with Directline. I've found them to be decent. Is there any way I could use the fact that I have an existing product with them as leverage for my home insurance, similar to eg "multicar" discount I suppose.
When i go online it seems that the "landlord" and "home" insurance are separate systems. Also, I have boiler cover with Scottish Gas, so I don't need to have cover for that.

Have you made a claim ?

The problem is that Home is a personal lines product and Landlord is a commercial lines product. Whilst many have a multi-product discount its unusual to have such discounts cross product lines.

yes I made a claim with them and they were great. Looks like I'll just get the insurance and mention I have a landlord policy. with them. It's actually for my parents' house and they were with direct line a while ago.
