Morning all, thanks Gers for the start. Last night the wind got up and it's still here; the forecast says it's going to be a cloudy day with a 60% chance of rain and feeling cooler than of late. Now this does not surprise me at all because when the pink cherry blossom tree at the back of my property is in full bloom and looking fabulous (which it is right now) the blossom always gets knocked off by the wind and rain. 😕 I haven't seen our local fox for a while but was treated to a close up late last night when he (or she) walked past my kitchen window - it's looking in fine form.
The cleaning gadget I ordered arrived yesterday and it's currently charging up ready for a trial run on the kitchen tiles over the cooker. I'm not usually swayed into buying gadgets but have high hopes for this one - I hope I'm not disappointed. DS is keeping busy and continues with his job search, sadly nothing so far. I've raided the freezer for tonight's dinner - cooked gammon slices and hash browns - with an egg and have also taken out some of the leftover Mother's Day corned beef hash to defrost for tomorrow. I'm thinking of watching tonight's TV docudrama about Huw Edwards (played by Martin Clunes), not my usual choice of viewing so I hope it's not too distressing.
@camelot - Happy new boiler day!
@Chrisca - Sorry to hear your hairdresser had to cancel, hopefully she can fit you in asap.
@Ruby - I'll keep my fingers crossed your decorator does finish tomorrow as promised; it will be worth it in the end.
Have a good day all, take care. Hugs where wanted or needed. X

Thanks everyone for the messages,I’m still a bit shell shocked at the speed ,but so pleased for him that he ‘didn’t linger ‘ as my mother would have said
This time last week he was complaining he felt ill and couldn’t mow all three of his lawns the same day Not bad for 88!
Been to my U3A monthly meeting ,interesting talk on the wildlife of Sherwood Forest .
Now going to do something with the considerable remains on a whole chicken bought yellow stickered !
Also celery soup to use the remainder of a head of local celery .
Stay safe all

Good afternoon
My, it's windy here. There was nothing until about an hour ago, but at least the suns shining.… for now.
A few bitsa jobs completed this morning, things I've been putting off and don't take long to sort out. DH still doing his diy project, lots of noise and mess, but he assures me it will be worth it in the end.
Sausages for tea, maybe with mash and veg. Stocks getting low again, I've started a shopping list for tomorrow but only the essentials as I want to stock up on the special offer meat.
Have a good day all, take care.
