Morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's fine here at the moment but the forecast is saying it's going to rain. I'm going to try and get a few outside jobs done before that starts though.
Yesterday was ok, had hair done, visited my friend, and tried a new recipe for our evening meal, which went down well.
Hoping everyone has a good day, thoughts to Dp1 and her parents, and anyone else who is having sad or difficult times today.
Take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers.
Wet this morning and a bit breezy, last night was so windy I had to close the bedroom window as it was too noisy!
New boiler day today, I will be so happy not to wonder if I will get heating and hot water. Strangely the boiler has worked every time since I decided to get a new one but I know it won't last.
Hope the painting is going well Ruby.
Sorry to hear of the death of your friend SuffolkSue.
I think toothpaste can clean trainers Izzy.
Hugs to you dp1, keep fighting for your Mam and Dad.
Really busy day at work yesterday, hoping it's not so bad today. We should hear who we have as a new HT, the final interviews were yesterday.
Missing Nanny and taff.
Hugs to those in need, hope everyone is well. Take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks for the start GERS. It's a bit of a gloomy start here but fortunately the forecast has been updated and the heavy rain we were promised has been downgraded to light rain.
Lunch out with DF today (unless she has to cancel) so not a lot in the way of jobs will get done today. Yesterday I got off to a flying start (at least for me anyway!) but it didn't last. No surprises there! But at least the lounge looks better and the cards finally came down almost 2 weeks after the event, revealing a lot of dust!
Happy new boiler day CAMELOT. I hope all goes to plan. SS so sorry to read about your neighbour. It's sad to lose a lovely friend. Dp1 my fingers are still crossed that sense will prevail amongst the SW team.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need/want of them. Take care all, be safe x

Morning all
Going to be dry but blustery today. Bonus for the wash I will put out later but not going to plant some seeds in the mini greenhouse as they might get blown away before getting into the earth!
Nothing else on the cards so think I'll bake some hobnobs instead.
Still have a mop of hair as hairdresser had to cancel as she was having car trouble.
Nothing else planned for today.
Have a good day all x

Thanks for the tips on trainers I’ve done them again yesterday left the white vinegar on a bit longer and I think I might of got them clean they are a knitted fabric I don’t know what I was thinking well I do they were half price and very comfortable. I will walk the dog when I get back and then it’s in for the day I’ve got some chops out for tonight jacket potatoes will make a nice easy tea . Camelot I bet you are looking forward to not worrying about whether the boiler is going to work or not you will be pleased you did it come next winter there’s always something needs doing . Suffolk sue I’m sorry to hear about your friend . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning again - overnight rain lashed at the house, typically the window cleaner came yesterday. Dry this morning though the forecast is not promising.
The jeans I sent for alteration arrived back yesterday and are practically perfect! I haven't worn jeans for over 40 years so I'm enjoying them in my old age. I need a button extender, only a small one, so I can sit comfortably but it's a small price to pay. 🤣
My dishwasher is on the blink, it's insisting on doing a long eco cycle so I'll let it go on but will contact JL about it as the guarantee is still valid. I've a return to hand into the PO delivery office this morning. Lunch will be chicken and sweetcorn on some toast, there's a small left-over piece of bread which I can't bear to waste - I am turning into my mother!
Lots of good vibes and hugs to our poorlies and missing. Hope that the new boiler installation goes well @camelot1001 and enjoy your lunch out @TravellingAbuela. xx

Overcast here but no rain due, I only have one person coming today as the other is off sick, we are going to meet our friends and go for a walk and stop off at a cafe for tea and possibly cake 🍰
The decorator is doing great he thinks he will be finished by tomorrow.and then we can start to get things straight again, the mess is driving me mad.
Dinner tonight will be salmon fried rice,I have some asparagus and baby corn to use up so they will be tasty in it. I have a wash on the go and will hang it out before work.
NRA we are off to Lydd for the weekend we have a place right on the beach, OH can go fishing and we can take the dogs along the beach for walks, we also want to go to Rye and a couple of other places.
Camelot happy new boiler day xx
SS sorry about your neighbour xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, thanks Gers. We have rain 😏,just as all the footpaths and woodland walks were getting drier.
Sorry to hear about your good friend SuffolkSue.
I had a good phone catch up yesterday with my oldest friend, she'll be down to visit in a couple of weeks or so.
DS2 rang in the afternoon to say he would call at ours so we could all go to watch DGS school match in one car - saving fuel. Could tell the weather was changing,it was windy and cold. At least they won so DGS happy. His DM came to watch too, and took him back with her so DS jumped at the chance of gammon, eggs and chips with us, followed by apple crumble. It was a last minute change of meal - I'd cooked the gammon in the morning, sliced some up and chopped some up that I put with the leftover chicken from Sunday to make into a pie.DS2 is allergic to chicken so we'll have the pie tonight instead.
DP1, I was pleased to read that your DParents were able to spend some time together.
I'll try and get doggo out but he's not fond of rain 😏
Take care all.

Morning all
Just popping in to say hello - nothing to report.. bit humdrum currently although the nice weather was appreciated whilst it lasted.
Just had a delivery of blue bags from our council who are now collecting soft plastics from April - that will save a trip to the co-op. My council seems to be quite progressive in recycling - its the top one in Wales currently - shame they can't fix the potholes as well! No doubt the chimps will be moaning on social media about the cost etc and having to sort out their waste. It's a weekly service so not ardous IMO.
@Suffolksue Hugs… my nd neighbors Dad passed recently in very similar circumstances. It's best to remember them as they were so to speak.
Right - offski - hugs and spoons as always
