Annual Travel insurance - having operation - need to update/ inform ?

I have an annual travel insurance policy with my correct medical history declared at time I took out the policy.

In December I had a fall and broke my upper arm. I had to cancel a holiday and I have an ongoing holiday cancellation claim.

I'm now scheduled to have surgery to place a metal plate on my arm in April.

Prior to that I'm due to have a week's holiday in Spain.

Is my existing annual travel insurance taken out before my break still valid. This holiday was booked after the accident and after I had been discharged but before the surgery was planned.

Do I need to update or renew?

Thanks
