Smart Meter IHD history

Hi,

I've recently switched to Fuse and looking in the IHD's History section, when I scroll back through the past DAYS usage, it only shows me the usage figures for the last 8 days. I've been with them a few weeks so when I spoke to Fuse they said they had tried to push out the missing data to it from my first day with them.

The missing days didn't appear and it looks like it's only going to show the last 8 days as it showed me the figures from the 14th one day, then the next day the earliest entry was the 15th.

Could anyone tell me whether this is normal, and if not how many days I should be able to scroll back to - I thought my previous IHD & supplier showed many more days than this.

The model is a Chameleon IHD7 (it has the white casing).

I know I can see usage data on their website/app but I'd like to check that against the IHD info as I've had quite a few issues since switching, and there's also a known bug with some of the data on the website/app at the moment so I can't see the full info there either for now. Thanks.

Yes it sounds normal - 14th being d-8 one day, and 15th being day-8 the next day (shorty after midnight GMT the meter shuffles the data - so thats 1am in summer time - and on my ihd - the data is labelled a day, iirc week on the Monday or a month out on the 1st - until just after 1am in summertime - so cannot check just after midnight)

The data on the IHD only goes back 8 days, 5 weeks, 13 months.

And that aligns with section 6.3.3.7 Historic Consumption of

My EoN IHD3 now on Octopus only does back to 15th on Days (as of today, 23rd), but allows Weeks' figures going back further. Tap calendar button repeatedly to go from day/week/month…

Sign up to the Bright App Glow for homes to access the smart meters historic records (half hourly if you enable that). It's what I used with EoN and now Octopus and it rarely malfunctions (e.g. missing data or slow to update).

Thanks, yes i already use the Bright app. If as it seems it should only store 8 days that's fine - I get a different answer from Fuse support to almost every question I ask - eg them saying they will send the missing days info to the IHD when it seems that's not possible/relevant.

It seems customer support might be a little conFUSEd about that.

It's bizarre - their support is chat-only and one topic can be picked up by various people over the course of time. I keep on being given different info by the various people there - it's probably not even their fault as I'm guessing their training must be very inadequate. They keep saying things like they need to check the manual, when I could do that - and when I did so it took 10 mins to find the info I'm still waiting on them for a day and a half later.

One other really annoying thing is they continually ask for photos - of what I'm describing on the IHD, or photos of my info on my account on the website/app - so they can't even see my details. Very frustrating.

The most accurate info I have had from them so far, sadly, is when the chatbot rather than a human answers.
