Pending transactions on current account listings
Hi, I have seen several posts along these lines but mostly a few years ago, so hoping for some up to date info.
When I’ve previously had a current account with Starling, HSBC and First Direct, the last working day before any Direct Debits / credits / transactions were made they were listed as ‘pending’ in my account. I found this incredibly helpful as it enabled me to ensure adequate funds (plus some extra) were available to cover.
Can anyone suggest a decent bank who does this - preferably who pays interest too please?
I know Nationwide and Virgin Money don’t have this feature as I’ve tried these accounts.
Many thanks.

Have you tried Starling, HSBC or First Direct?

HSBC still does this on outgoing direct debits etc and used to do this (at least on my account) for pending incoming payments but that element seemed to drop off a while back.
Used to be handy to see my salary payment the day before - not a deal breaker but useful
It does still show pending regular direct debits however

TSB lists"pending" debit transactions; Santander states "Balance including pending (debit) transactions" but doesn't list / name said transactions.

Lloyds group will show you what is expected in the next 30 days but if you have a variable DD say for a CC it will only show the last payment made

Anything incoming the following working day, still shows up on my HSBC account.

Monzo show standing orders the day before they are taken, salary payments a few days before they are credited and direct debit debits a few days before they are taken. They show the actual direct debit that's making its way through the system rather than a prediction.
Nationwide are the creaking dinosaur of the banking world so they'd be the last to have anything like that.

interesting. Maybe it is something to do with the way my employer handles the payroll? Who knows. It used to be there, now it's not. But if it is working for others then it's probably my payroll issue!

Definitely still there on mine, and even there for one off, out of the blue things. Plus three different pensions .

But only sometimes. If you haven't used your CC recently, and therefore there's been no DD recently, it doesn't show in the list, and I'm not sure that it always shows when there was a DD last month.
I keep my own list of predicted bank transactions (in and out) on a spreadsheet, so rarely look at the bank's predictions.
