Visit during the Easter Holidays (28th March to 12th April) to take part in a special Easter Trail with prizes and other fun activities for youngsters!

Fresh air, plenty of space and a wonderful home to over 80 stunning owls and birds of prey from around the world, Suffolk Owl Sanctuary (S.O.S) offers the opportunity to say hello to a fascinating collection of raptors, see many of them in daily flying displays, chat with their friendly staff all about owls and meet their mob of cheeky meerkats with special talks at 11.00 and 2.00 daily whilst youngsters can follow the S.O.S. Safari with a prize for them all. 

Established as a registered charity in 2001, the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is based at Stonham Aspal in Suffolk, where it also operates a comprehensive facility for the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region, and the promotion of owl conservation throughout the UK and beyond. The Sanctuary is open to the public all year round where it maintains the following services as the beneficiary of public donations.

The Owl & Raptor Hospital at S.O.S. is fully equipped for the care and treatment of the many injured wild owls & other birds of prey which are brought into the Sanctuary every year. Many of these can be given a recuperative overnight pick-me-up before being re-released into the wild shortly thereafter.

Meerkat Kastle

Their family of meerkats is very popular with all the visitors to the centre. They reside at their new "Meerkat Kastle" - a purpose-built facility designed to house these fascinating creatures in a way that illustrates their unique way of life to the best advantage.

Location

The Suffolk Owl Sanctuary at Stonham Barns Park is situated on the A1120 Tourist route, easily accessible form the A14, A12 and A140 - simply follow the brown signs.
