Safestyle Guarantee?
We had a large bay window replaced by Safestyle in November 2022. We’ve got a Fensa certificate and number for the works. It was paid for via a finance agreement underwritten by Allium Money
The large upper pane seems to have failed, it’s gone cloudy in between the double glazing
I’ve contacted Installsure but they say nothing to do with them as was paid for via finance, so need to go via Section 75?
That just seems to deal with claiming money back?
Not sure how I just get the glazing replaced?!

Who was the contract with - 'Safestyle' or 'Installsure'?

They are just shamelessly fobbing you off. You can claim from either the supplier or from the lender.

And does Fensa not offer their own warranty?

Yes - the amount needed for replacing the sealed glass unit.

- I believe Safestyle went into administration at the end of 2023.
- If you can get the money back under section 75 I think you will be doing well.
- You should be able to find a local double glazing firm to replace the glazed pane. Depending on the size I'd expect to pay £300 to £500. (Outer London)

Contact finance co. In the mean time get some quotes to replace the failed unit.

Have you read the small print of your guarantee? I'd be surprised if the sealed units were still covered after this amount of time.

There are companies/franchises that offer this service. It is technically quite easy to do.
Alternatively a local window company may be willing to do it for you.

They went into administration in Oct 2023.
Anglian Windows bought the order book and the name from the administrators. So you still see Safestyle being advertised, but they are just some kind of subsidiary/marketing front for Anglian.

a failed unit will be classed as ware and tear
A thankyou is payment enough .0 -
My new Windows and doors installed have a 5 year warranty on glass and 10 for the frames.
But as your firm has gone bust not sure what would happen to your issue.
