Incorrect parking notice
we got through the post this week a parking charge notice, telling us we had not paid in a multi story car park. They have a photo of our car on a road with a front and back view. However we were never in the car park, my husband was on a road - a street away from the entrance to the said car park. He never left the car and didn’t turn off the engine, he had checked and there were no signs for payment etc. in the letter they say they use cameras to capture images of vehicles entering and leaving the car park to calculate their length of stay. The car park is managed by UKPA and they say the charge was issued for non payment.
how can you be sent a notice when you didn’t use the car park?

It isn't about a multi-storey car park. UKPA don't run them. It's about parking on a private road. Just ignore it; read the NEWBIES thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

They will have set their ANPR camera at the wrong angle so it's capturing vehicles on the road. Appeal it, and also include a snotty passage on their misuse of your data and image. Theres lots of similar threads on here, search for those to get more details.
