" I have emailed APCOA to inform them that there was no parking charge for my vehicle and asked them to confirm, however, I have not heard back yet."

"…. I attempted to appeal and I have contacted them to notify them of the issues I am experiencing."

Hopefully the driver was not outed in the above?

Network Rail are not only in charge of the infrastructure, they also manage the largest stations used by multiple TOCs - such as the major London stations - and I believe Reading falls into that category. If you look at other nearby stations using the link I provided, such as Newbury, you'll see under the station name that they are managed by GWR, but Reading is Network Rail.

Thank you to all for the above information and advice, it is reassuring and helpful.
The fine couldn’t be paid for even if considered as no record when inputting information in the website.

I do appreciate everyone saying not to name the driver, but it adds complication being a company vehicle as limited to who can drive it, so could narrow down if they really had to. Plus my company usually just informs us if we get anything and then we have to go back if not us and name the driver.

If there is anything else I should do or consider I am open to it.

Study the bottom of the first post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum

The hire or lease company are or could be liable, not you, UNLESS they comply with Pofa2012, a 14 year old law , to transfer liability to the hirer

For hire, lease or company vehicles that law clearly sets out the requirements to transfer liability from Registered Keeper to Hirer ( you are the lessee or keeper, the hirer, so if you were to receive a pcn with your name and address on it , then you appeal as HIRER, not revealing who was driving to anyone. )

So no blabbing about who was driving, as you were told earlier

You need to trust our advice, because we know more about it than the company ( what you believe doesnt matter, but do the research until you become expert on the law and liabilities, more so for if your company notify you about any pcn. )
