in Credit cards
This is probably going to sound like a stupid question but I've literally had a credit card for two weeks so I have no idea about these things.
I don't want to go into much detail, so briefly:
I bought something with my credit card online. It was a ticket for something that was supposed to be printed off as it was a few days before hand so the option to have it posted to me had gone. I didn't get put through to the page as I was supposed to so I checked my email, nothing. Called the company constantly and just got an answering machine. Obviously the time it was needed for came and went and I had no ticket so have paid for nothing.
At least, I think I've paid for nothing - as I've only had my credit card two weeks I haven't had a statement or anything yet, so obviously I need to make sure that the charge is on there first. If I call up the credit card company and tell them the name of the website I bought from, will they be able to tell me?
And assuming they did take the money... what now? Am I able to get my money back? I know if I had paid with Switch or cash then I'd be pretty much screwed, is it different with a credit card? I honestly know absolutely nothing about these things so any advice is appreciated.
(Please don't just say 'ask the company for a refund' though, as I really can't get through to them!)

give them another call, u will get thru to someone different and they will be able to give you any info. Even if the paymenthasnt gone onto ur account the advisor should be able to see "pending transactions". I would se urself up with online banking, its really simple, for example if the Credit Card is with Halifax, then its just halifax.co.uk and so on, then just select the option to bank online. As for getting ur mney bk - if the transaction was for over 100 pound, thenyes the credit card company will give you your mney bk, if not then you will probably need to raise a dispute and they may refund the money as a gesture of goodwill. But defo give them another cakll and hopefully you will get amore understanding advisor.Halifax CC [STRIKE]£1322.88[/STRIKE] £0 :j 11.9% Virgin CC [STRIKE]£1534.76[/STRIKE] £1384.76 0% until AUG 13.
