I'm looking to change fix tarriff on Eon next but it's impossible to work out as we don't know what the unit or standing charge on my fixed rate will be to calculate as the new tarriffs already include the April 1st reductions? Wish companies were forced to release what current tarrifs would be so we can compare.

Most fixes have been withdrawn owing to the volatile energy market.

Energy companies don't have crystal balls, so how can they offer fixes without any reliable information on future energy prices?

Only a week or so to wait, at worst. But: Have you actually called and asked EoN for your figures?

Octopus have given me my new rates. If I ask for a "new customer quote" from them the fix is considerably more than my current with them, both now and from April.

Try doing the same new customer quote trick with EoN? i.e. not logged into your account.

The Eon website states the reductions that will be applied to current tariffs from 1 April, 3.34p from electric and 0.31p from gas. The bus has been missed though for anything cheaper than you are currently paying, Eon currently do not have any fixes anyway, and the cheapest short term is going to be a cap tracker.

Would not bet on any fixes at cheap rates.
