@ masonic - tweaking the percentages a little. someone said theres too much overlap but do you think the percentages give me a resonable hedge against a tech crash whilst retaining some opportunity for growth - im planning to fix these percentaged for my monthly contribution and phase ein the lump sum

VANGUARD HIGH YIELD DIVIDEND FUND - 15%XUSE - 10%

or perhaps drop the XUSE as the dividend fund reduces US exposure anyway

There's bound to be overlap because what you're trying to do is increase the weighting to the parts of the index that are not US and growth-orientated. The broader HSBC All world index will already hold these shares, but not at a level you want them, so it is a feature not a bug.
