Euro Car Parks app problem
I’ve just had a POPLA appeal rejected over a Euro Car Parks ticket in Hull and I’m wondering what the best next step is.
The frustrating part is a parking payment was made, but the official app had an error first (which they point out was a technical fault in screenshots) and said the payment card had to be re-registered before it would work. As soon as that was sorted, a 2-hour ticket was bought the same evening, albeit a couple of hours later.
Euro Car Parks still issued the charge because payment wasn’t made “on arrival” through the pay and display, and POPLA have sided with them on that basis, even though the delay was caused by their app issue.
So now I’m wondering:
- Is it worth still fighting it?
- Do I ignore debt collector letters unless it becomes a proper legal letter?
- Has anyone had success getting one cancelled after POPLA?
- Is it worth trying to contact the landowner / site management?
Would really appreciate any advice from anyone who’s been through similar.

Yes, fight it ( at LoC response stage followed by a Money Claim. )

POPLA decisions are not binding on the motorist.

ANPR images confirm the appellant’s vehicle entered the car park at 17:00 and exited at 19:28, a stay of 2 hours 28 minutes. Unfortunately as I wasn't parking, I wasn't clear on the times, so put two hours on.

Nothing to fight.
Euro Car Parks use the DCB Legal > court claim > discontinue conveyor belt.
All you have to do is paste the template defence into the online form when the time comes. It's easier to defend a DCB Legal court claim than it is faff with Popla.

Seconded. It gets discontinued every time. Read @Umkomaas' DCB Legal thread if you don't believe it.
Over 800 examples and counting!
No stress, easier than any appeal.
