Peak Capital
Has anyone heard of this investment company in Switzerland. I’m trying to find out if it’s bone fide or a scam. I got in touch after seeing the supposed spat on Question Time between Nigel Farage and Andrew Bailey, I’ve put in £250 and I’m now having second thoughts. Also the financial advisor rings me every day /every other day. Is this normal?

Everything you've written sounds like it's a scam.

This one?
All over The Socials with a variety of "investment" products mentioned and handy links to click so that the scammers can remove your money more easily.
Not sure what's more worrying, the fact that some cobbled-together AI-generated guff might be considered plausible, or that you'd take investment decisions because Farage.

Why do you need an, "investment company" in Switzerland? There are plenty of well known investment companies operating in Britain. I suspect you've fallen for a scam and lost your money but there will be no harm asking for it back.

»» Why do you need an, "investment company" in Switzerland? ««
Because that way it's easier to be scammed than by using the usual, sensible, mainstream, regulated, UK-based providers that everyone else here uses…

If your aim is to be scammed, then yes, totally normal for them to be harassing you to "invest" more money into their ̶p̶o̶c̶k̶e̶t̶s̶ surefire scheme. Sorry.

Also I somewhat doubt that the Governor of the BoE would be on Question Time.
OP - Block the 'advisor' phone number, otherwise they will keep pestering you.
Forget about the £250 - it is gone.
In future be more careful, especially with anything on social media.

If you have provided ID on opening this account I would also be wary of possible identity fraud and keep a close eye on your credit report in the future.
I would make a request to the company that you have changed your mind and want to withdraw your £250. They will no doubt make excuses as to why the money cannot be withdrawn. Then contact your bank to tell them you have been defrauded out of £250.

The sale of retail investments in the UK requires companies that are authorised by the FCA.
Peak Capital (Switzerland) does not appear on the FCA Register, meaning they have no regulatory permissions to sell investments to UK retail consumers.
I got in touch after seeing the supposed spat on Question Time between Nigel Farage and Andrew Bailey,
This is a well-known fake video used by scammers.
I’ve put in £250 and I’m now having second thoughts.
You have lost that. You have been scammed. You may have protection from the bank via the APP fraud reimbursement rules
Also the financial advisor rings me every day /every other day. Is this normal?
It's not a financial adviser. It's a scammer pretending to be one. Financial advisers do not operate like that.
They have mugged you once, and you fell for it. So, they now consider you an easy mark. You need to be on guard now because once you get on a mug's list, they will keep trying all sorts of things over the coming years.

Farage vs Bailey ... 12 x 3 minute rounds. Queensbury rules. Who's your money on? and Why ?

Thank you all for your comments. Luckily, after realising that the Farage/Bailey thing was a scam I asked my bank to cancel the card I made the payment with so the £250 never left my account.
I have now accepted that this is definitely a scam and blocked the ‘financial advisor’ from my phone and WhatsApp account and marked his emails as spam. Apart from not answering my phone to numbers I don’t recognise is there anything else I should do?
Many thanks.

Well done you for recognising a mistake and then quickly going about fixing it!
