Claim papers received, please help I am confused

Hello,

I got a claim and really need support. I used this forum in the successfully but it seems I did everything wrong as I now received the small claims paperwork.

I am panicking please help. I read the newbies thread but am really confused and afraid to proceed on my own. The worst bit is that everything is in the name of my husband who has a serious mental illness and gets very stressed from things like this.

The company claiming is NCP . I did try to send letters to the landowner but they were not answered. The car park is a retail park and it is really unclear if the parking needs to be paid, as for long periods nobody cares and than suddenly they start charging. The supermarket on site refunds the charge but in most cases people don’t bother, so really an unclear situation.

Please your kind help I now got 3 days to respond because I was abroad when the forms arrived.

Thank you

So its claimant NCP, the POC state, Parked without payment

Image 2309 is the redacted bottom of the claim form, the rest can be deleted, not required

We still need a redacted picture of the top half, after hiding his details and hiding the reference number

Leave the details of the claimant and solicitors showing on the left, plus Leave the issue date on show on the top right

Do you have Power of Attorney in order to act on his behalf. ? ( presume that he is the defendant, not you. ? )

The worst bit is that everything is in the name of my husband who has a serious mental illness and gets very stressed from things like this.

You must have read that NCP went into administration this week? This'll end up discontinued by the end of this year but he must defend the claim now, using the Template Defence.

    Very easy. No worries.

And you can take the daft Mediation call for him in due course.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Coupon mad thank you. I had no idea stress taken over.

My husband can do the things if we know what to do and I have his authorisation anyway.

So its NCP via Moorside Legal, issue date is 4th March Parked without payment

Your husband needs to login to his Government Gateway account ASAP and complete the AOS online on MCOL

The 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad explains how to complete it online, on MCOL ( its the 4th thread down from the top of the forum. )

Put the paperwork in a drawer, you wont be needing it, everything is completed via HIS Gateway account

( the fact that he has authorised you to assist him doesn't mean that you can legally represent him in these matters )

So he logs into MCOL, with you assisting, go to the claim in his MCOL section, do the AOS, then leave it for now, then come back here and tell us that the AOS was completed today by the defendant ( Him, not You. )

Then adapt the template defence by coupon mad in announcements, mainly paragraph 3, although all 10 paragraphs will be used ( its in the 3rd thread down from the top of the forum ) read the 8 steps too

With an issue date of 04/03/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS after 09/03/26 and before or on 23/03/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 07/04/26
