My DMP diary - 2026 (year 1)

The first first of the month since I have stopped paying. As suspected first direct just took payments for the two loans out of my account and have pushed it over into an unauthorised overdraft too. I'm hoping fees for all that will be cancelled at some point… not worth stressing over now really. 😶
The only other one not paid today was the tesco loan as other payments are taken out throughout the month.
Post-wise I've had a couple of letters asking me to set up a DD and a text from FD advising me I'm in my unauthorised OD.
Yesterday I got my file arranged for when I start to get letters. I have an old fan file I thought I'd use but it is a pain to keep that organised so may get a lever arch instead.
I'll update my signature for what it's worth in a mo.
……..and onwards.
Edit: I CBA to update my signature as it's just moved the amounts from the loan onto an OD really

I have 1 virgin cc but often used for 0% offers so need to check that
I have 1 MBNA card but again need to check regarding 0%
2. I have downloaded my transunion credit report (eye watering) and will be going through it making notes of key dates on a spreadsheet.
3. I need to download 6y of bank statements. DONE
In between that I will do a run, walk dogs, have a meal booked for my bday tonight and lots to do in the garden. Already aching all over from a day of heavy jobs yesterday but they continue!

lovely to see your signature - I home educated my children but they’re all adults now and I miss those wonderful days I spent with them (as you can see the rose tinted glasses are firmly on haha)

Totally agree - I am and always have been a list person. Helps me get things out of my head and on to paper so I don’t have to stress about remembering things!

Started going through my credit report from the last 6 years and found another FD loan I had forgotten about! So that is 4 loans to put in affordability complaints on. The first ever loan was for £10,000 and they charged me over 6,000 interest on top.
