a CCJ would also affect us all as a family as it would impede us from ever switching our mortgage to a better deal in the future.
We are currently on sub-prime mortgage which is costing a small fortune per month.

You have ZERO chance of getting a remortgage with a non sub prime lender with defaults showing on your credit record. a CCJ does not make this worse.

Could we see a Statement of Affairs please? If you have posted one before, I missed it. And it sounds as though things have got worse anyway.

I do not draw a salary from my business and am not on the payroll. I literally pay the bills and that's all.

You do not have enough monthly income to meet your expenses and your minimum monthly debt
repayments. Seek ways to increase your income and/or reduce your expenditure by £240.76. Whatever your
results show, it always pays to seek advice or comments from others. Why not post your SOA details on our

Had a letter from MCS giving me two options, pay in full or receive a CCJ or, pay by instalments.

They are saying if they don't hear from me, they will ask the courts to order me to pay.

I don't have anything to give without putting my family into further financial difficulty and potentially risking our home. Bills have already sky-rocketed in recent months. How am I meant to deal with this?

I am sorry, but could you put all the numbers into the SOA, including the mortgage balance, mortgage interest rate and the house value? And all the unsecured debts? Are the two cars owned or on finance?

The SOA then gives totals and its possible to see more easily what the full situation is.

You'll have to hang on for the bulk of that info.
    Heading off to bed now.

    The cars are owned outright.
One is an old 59 plate Nissan Qashqai which is in my wife's name and the other is my work van which is a Cat S write off and has no value.

When I do the SoA, you will clearly see that we literally live hand to mouth. We have nothing of any value and nothing left over each month.
It is what it is though, we are all healthy and happy and that's all that matters to me.

Will pick this up again tomorrow.

    Hi,

Aside from the requests for an SoA, dealing with this letter is clearly more important at this stage.
How best am I to respond here? They have given an email address so shall I email them explaining the situation as I have been doing with the others?

Starting to get a little worried here that things are going to spiral out of control.
