left stranded in sri lanka by netflights.com
Ticket London to sri lanka return booked with netflights.com on 11th january 2026. (IMPORTANT date ) travel - 18/02/26 due to return 8/3/26 . when disruption occurred she followed the advice from netflights.com who said "…wait until airspace reopens and then contact the resort team to arrange alternative travel etc" NF - working hard to contact passengers …"
Despite ringing the given numbers several times - each one keeping on hold for 80 mins before disconnecting. email contact results in a bog standard email response saying same thing. No help or response from BA ( this is ticket showing BA flight numbers BUT 2nd 3rd 4th flights were/are on Qatar the carrier involved. It is the 17th and still no contact made at all. Everyone says contact the agency - WOULD IF I COULD! Netflights were sold to DESTINIA ON 22ND JANUARY - they tell you Netflights are dealing with case - not them.

What does your travel insurance policy says?
Did you pay for ticket with CC?0 -
Guess you are missing the important piece of information that you were to be flying via the Middle East somewhere rather than direct?
You get to learn how good your booking agent are in circumstances like this, a good one can be a real benefit, direct can be ok if you've decided to cut out the middle man and a poor agent is the worst of all worlds.
Seems as if you are confused over it was booked with Netflights or Destinia? They are sister companies but inevitably they will want you to talk to the one you actually booked with. There are many middlemen in the supply chain for travel, you still talk to the one you booked with even if it bounced through 3-6 companies between who you paid and the provider.
