Stansted mcdonalds county court
I was the registered keeper of a car that recieved a penalty for this car park however i wasn't the driver. My daughter was driving and had parked at the medium stay car park across this site. As she left the medium stay car park the car started shaking and so she pulled off the roundabout to the mcdonalds car park. Here my son was also in the car left the car to seek help from someone in mcdonalds ( it was dark and evening time), after a few minutes and with no joy of finding help my daughter restarted the car and the shaking had gone. Slowly she made her way back home on the non motorway road. The car was taken to the mechanics a few days later and it turned out to need new spark plugs( I have receipt for this repair).
As the registered keeper i am being pursued.
Do I disclose who was driving and provide details including the repair receipt.
My Daughter didnt actually even park their and never looked at the signs because she was more concerned about pulling over safely and getting help.
The vehicle was subsequent sold shortly after as many other issues were discovered during the repair.
I now have a court demand letter for this.

Don't do anything yet, but certainly don't name the driver.
What do you mean by a court demand letter? Have you appealed/corresponded at all, or just ignored it?
Can you post a redacted copy of this "court demand letter" AND of the NtK?

This is the first communication with them. I have already filled the aos within 14 days and I believe i need to submit a defence.

You have until Monday 23rd to submit a defence. You can use the template. Assuming this claim is against you, the keeper, you can truthfully state you were not the driver.
You can also point out that this location is not "relevant land" for the purposes of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 and consequently there is no keeper liability and the claimant has no cause of action against you, only the (unnamed) driver.Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'

Did you or the driver not get any parking charge notice?

We've seen lots of Southgate Park MET claims, so search the forum and copy the paragraph 3 facts wording from one where the keeper wasn't driving.
But don't read any older than 2025 and do use the CURRENT Template Defence which isn't what older posts will have used. Hence I'm only telling you to look at their para 3 addition.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
