I'm on a fixed rate tariff and I've also had an email from Outfox confirming new rates, but I'm interested in what unit rate reduction is being offered compared with the saving to Outfox from the new government policy.
MSE suggests that the unit rate reduction should be 3.5p for electricity and 0.35p for gas. Outfox has given me a 3.023p reduction for electricity and 0.179p for gas.
Obviously I'm pleased to have any reduction but I'd appreciate the full amount being passed on. It's difficult to confirm what that should be as I've not seen any government or Ofgem information which speaks in terms of unit rates.

I got an email showing exactly the same unit rate reductions. I'm far from happy if they are not passing on the full reductions that the government (by which I mean, us) are funding!

Is it that they are a small supplier who is already not required to pay the extras that the government is removing, therefore can't pass tha savings on?

No, they are large enough that they were part of the group that had to pay for the ECO scheme.

Yep, wasn't flagged as small on the ML Show either when he had his spreadsheet on the screen. Although googles AI tried to suggest that as an excuse.
Mind you, it also suggested that I might already be on an aggressively discounted tariff that assumed the ECO scheme would be taken out. Which equally sounds like BS…0
