Local court selection for Directions Questionnaire

Hi, All,

I received a notice of proposed allocation to the small claims track in the civil national business centre and the claimant is Met Parking services Ltd. It was because I parked at PizzaHut at Lombardy Retail Park, Hillingdon in Nov 2024. I just moved to this area and didn't realised the car park at PizzaHut was private and there was no sign at where I parked. I changed my home address for the driving document late, even though I changed it for my driving license immediately after I moved. When I received the fine from Met Park services ltd, it was £170 already.

I filled in the Defence and Counter in mid Jan by following the advice provided in the forum. Thank you to all the people who have provided all the useful suggestions in the newbie posts.

There is a question to name a local County Court when I am filling in the N180 Directions Questionnaire. My local court seems to be Uxbridge County Court. I was just wondering whether I should choose a court that tends to favour defendants of private car park tickets, and if so, which court should I choose?

Sorry that English is not my first language. But I hope you understand me. :)

Choose Uxbridge because you will never have to attend a hearing (unless you paid a fee for a counterclaim, hope not?).

As long as there's no counterclaim, DCB Legal will discontinue the claim just before they have to pay the hearing fee this Summer!

Perfectly. You are doing great and I wouldn't have guessed that English is not your first language.

    🙂

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you very much @Coupon-mad for all your help and encouragement! I haven't paid for a counterclaim. I will choose Uxbridge County Count and let's wait and see. I will report here if DCB discontinues. :)
