Moneycarers.org.uk

I am so disappointed and upset that this company is allowed to take all benefits and income and then decide whether or not you can have extra funds for electric or petrol. I have found they don't respond to emails or messages left on app

I am supposed to get an allowance on a Monday but very rarely is it available in the morning. Most weeks I have to ask and then don't get a response. I am vulnerable and live on my own. My daughter's were horrified that they were unable to put funds into my account when moneycarers said they would not send me extra. This has affected my mental health and my trust in others.

Please has anyone else had a similar experience or complained and had a productive response

Thankyou

The company is actually: https://moneycarer.org.uk (no "s").

So why are you using them if the service is so poor?

Did someone set it up for you (social worker, council or similar?). I would keep a diary of the issues you are having and get in touch with them.

I'm in the process of leaving due to the poor service. I just wanted to see if my experience was unusual

Set up by social worker and I have kept a diary for memory purposes. Thankyou for your response

Looking them up, they seem to have different levels of support. quite a big difference between helping with your bills and being an Appointee for the DWP.
Which service were you signed up to them for because if it’s appointeeship (which your mention of an allowance tends towards,) it’s not going to be as straightforward as simply moving elsewhere.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
