Did you get the Lloyds switch reward? I thought the terms on the lloyds website made it so if you had an account with them already, you couldn't get the switch.

That's not correct, there is no restriction unless you already have a Premier not ANY account.
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
The website says:
You can’t take part in the offer if:
You switch to any existing Lloyds Premier account, or you change your existing Lloyds Current Account to a Lloyds Premier Account.
Happy to be shown the way!
Edit- downgrading to a non club account and then opening a new premier account?

Downgrade your existing Club or Premier account and open a new one. The key is that it needs to be a new account.

That's talking about converting an existing Lloyds account to a Premier or switching into an existing Premier account.
Way off topic, there's a dedicated thread for this particular switch offer.

Why do you need to outlive the gilt? It's just a low effort annuity-like income stream.

Ooh, do you have the link please?

This thread surely needs closing as it is now living up to its ‘what’s the point’ title.

Just reverting back to the original Principality 6 mth saver. I use it to save up my service charge which is paid in June & December.
Whilst it wouldn't work for everyone (including the OP) I think it's great because it serves a purpose for me.
