Extra mature cheddar - great cheese kick for very little ingredient (as everyone else has recommended) - a little bit grated makes a big difference. I bought some red leicester for Christmas and I've had to use far more to make up the taste (though it is very nice on crackers!)

I found a pack of organic cheddar cheese that was actually CHEAPER per kilo than one of the tesco value strong cheddars - I kept checking as I thought I must be wrong but it wasn't ! So its worth have a good read of all the shelf labels before you buy.

Tesco prices seem to be a bit wonky at the moment - am not impressed with them - may go elsewhere for a while til they sort it out :mad:
