Good morning Gers, and all who follow.
Happy Mothers day to all the mums out there. I know it may not be easy for some (my son is not in contact with us), but have the best day you can, and spoil yourself, you deserve it.
Yesterday turned into one of the worst days ever, for various reasons I won't go into. A serious talk with DH is on the cards. But today's another day, onwards and upwards.
Roast chicken for dinner, hopefully there's no more sport on tv.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning again though the weather is horrendous, wild wind, battering rain and thick white low cloud has covered the hills and sea almost completely.
The pharmacy appointment went well, blood pressure good, weight down so I almost skipped away but couldn't co-ordinate it either my stick. 😂 And I only bought the local weekly paper despite knowing that it's mostly advertising and I hate buying it, may as well chuck the money down the drain. Bloke came to tweak the TV cables, he tightened both the inside and outside set which restored sight and vision. The test will be today in the winds.
Today is definitely a soup making kind of day. It'll be tomato and cauliflower I think. I'll be hunkering down from the weather, I might sort out one kitchen cupboard which seems to have accumulated 'stuff'.As I need to use the step to reach properly I've been avoiding it. No more!Keep warm everyone, and dry. Hugs to all. Happy Mothering Sunday to all those mums out there, it's one of those difficult days we encounter.
EDIT - special hugs today to @remmie - hope it all gets sorted soon.

Morning all and thanks @Gers I’m glad the pharmacy appointment went well. Hope the TV behaves itself today x
Sorry to hear that yesterday was awful @remmie and hope you have a much better day today x
We have Mum here later for roast lamb. DS1, DD and DDIL will be here too. DS2 is working. I’m hoping DH takes the lead with cooking today and doesn’t busy himself with a gardening job.
A thrilling rugby match last night - England finally turned up but a little late! Oh well there’s always next year.
Have a good day everyone

Morning all
I think I missed posting yesterday…….it went by in a blur of dog walking, van cleaning, lawn mowing and cooking. Today won’t be so busy cos I ache! Some of you will remember our ‘cook a meal from a different country’ monthly recipe challenge……February was a fail as I picked Bhutan and no-one fancied their National dish of spicy peppers in melted cheese and I couldn’t find anything else suitable. Anyway we skipped that and this month is Portugal - so I’ve made a smokey paprika tomato sauce which will go in cod fillets. Quite easy and hopefully tasty.
I sold a small canon camera on eBay yesterday,I use my phone so don’t need it. Had it for 9 years and it sold for £6 less than I paid for it. Just waiting for the buyer to pay but very happy with that!
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning everyone
Still very windy here, sunny though.
I'm off out soon - hospital this morning care home this afternoon.
Other brother did turn up yesterday, so that was good, though when I asked if he found mam very confused, he said no…perhaps he visited the wrong old lady! I had a nice quiet afternoon to myself which I really enjoyed
Hope everyone has a good day x

Hi everyone,
I had a lovely surprise yesterday, Chris, Crystal and Nate turned up in the afternoon for a surprise visit. Today will be very quiet though.
I want to start sewing again, it fell by the wayside while the family were living with us but I have a big fabric stash that is begging to be used. I'm not going to start this week though because we have friends coming down on Wednesday to belatedly celebrate Steve's 70th. He is Steve's best friend that he has known since he was two. We're going to see Abba Voyage which I am not really looking forward to, I like Abba songs but feel you can have a bit too many of them one after the other. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong.
I'm sorry about yesterday Remmie, I hope you get things sorted out.
Take care Gers.
Have a good day.
