interested to bid for a chest of drawers on eBay. Expensive booking man and a van not sure whether I need two men. This is the chest of drawers. Will be very costly with 2 people.

    dimensions would be helpful.
but if those are 200mm lvt flooring strips that’s only about 1m by 1.2m
    I’d not want help.
of course I’d remove the drawers first.

How much are the drawers plus delivery? I think it's these ones from Ikea

HEMNES white stain, Chest of 6 drawers, 108x131 cm - IKEA UK

Might be worthwhile looking on gumtree / face book market place near you as you might pick them up cheaper.

obvious question, but has the seller agreed to you sending a man with a van to collect, and how are you going to sort out the QR code your courier will need to collect?

yes that’s the one on facebook. Got a quote for £60 pick up and delivery 2 miles. The seller from Facebook marketplace is not responding just gave a N5 post code. If removing drawers just wondering whether it might fit in an estate.

We've got that exact chest in our bedroom. You'd struggle to move it on your own, especially if its upstairs.

Maybe the seller could help the man at their end, and you help at your end?

I would expect you could get that in a car

    Are you fit and able?

Can you access a trolley / sack truck? You could walk that back if it is only 2 miles.

as grumpy chap says - turn it on its head bring a blanket /some bungee cords and as long as you have no hills you could walk it back on a sack barrow for free and save £60 -

looking at the wood planks it is on for width a kia sportage type car would get it in with the seats down/ every third car on the road is one of these now /

as to get it on and off a van on your own /his own / with the drawers out you have a good grip with both hands and just have to lift it 18 inches if it is a ford transit/ vauxhall vivaro type van /

as it will just go in as it is shown in the photo standing up and blanket around with bungee cords

£60 for a 2 mile delivery for a 4 foot bit of furniture-in the 1980s i had a second hand furniture market stall along with my video tapes in hackney market and all the beds/wall units/settees etc etc free delivery into the estates the postmen refused to enter most times up 3 flights of stairs

diesel was £2 a gallon though back then and the customers would have run a mile if i said £10 delivery
