Advice on Paying PCN
Hi,
I have CCJs less than 2 years under my name and just recently got a PCN
I believe CCJs will last longer on my credit file compared with the PCN
Is it advisable to pay the PCN or just wait for it to drop from my file?

Sounds like you are thinking a PCN automatically leads to a CCJ?
That's never the case. Nobody here risks a CCJ and nobody pays unfair private PCNs either.
How on earth did you end up with two CCJs? Ignored two claim forms? Or the claims went to an old address?
Did you know about those older PCNs yet moved house and never told them?
Which PPC(s) are we talking about?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I’m thinking of not paying the PCN and just wait for it to drop off my records because I have existing CCJs which will take longer to be removed from my records

Hi,
CCJs were unpaid for unsecured credit cards which Equivo lodged because I wasn’t able to pay them due to difficult circumstances during those times
I always pay PCNs and never questioned anyI only started to think since I have CCJs that will be on my credit file for 6 years and not paying the PCNs would register on my records but will be less than 6 years. So, I might just wait for both records to drop off. Is my thinking correct.
I’m new on this thread. What’s PPC?

Private Parking Company. Which company are pestering you?
The only way you can get a CCJ on your record from a private parking ticket/invoice is if you don't respond to the claim form OR you go all the way to a court hearing in front of a judge AND lose AND still don't pay them within 28 days.
That's a lot of hurdles, time and expense for a piddly parking ticket.
It's a very different kettle of fish from a bonefide credit card debt.

I thought PCN will only result in default and no CCJ when ignoring the letter and not paying the fine

There is no fine.
You will never get a CCJ by ignoring a private PCN letter chain, as long as you don't ignore a Claim Form.
But you are wrong to think that a parking invoice CCJ (if you were silly enough to ignore a Claim Form, which you won't) stays on records for a shorter time than a credit card CCJ. It's still 6 years.
But you won't risk a CCJ with us!
